WINDSOR, CT – The all-new Soraluce SAD40 large capacity universal machining center made its North American premiere at IMTS 2024 in Chicago. Part of the Soraluce Performance Line of multitasking machine, the SAD40 featured a Stepless Universal Spindle Head and integrated 1-meter rotary table for machining large complex parts complete.
Live-cutting demonstrations on the CNC mill included Soraluce’s patented DAS (Dynamic Active Stabilizer) and DWS (Dynamic Workpiece Stabilizer), which all but eliminate chatter, thus extended tool life and delivering a superior surface finish.

According to Senior Product Manager Doug Schulte, “The Soraluce SAD40 features a fixed-table, traveling column design with the capacity to hold up to 8 tons on the table, and up to 4 tons on the built in 4th axis rotary table for full contour milling of complex parts.”
The Performance Line of CNC milling machines share design principles found in the Soraluce Productivity and Heavy-Duty machine ranges: the Soraluce Winning Combination, providing the most rigid and dynamic solution available on the market, with a combination of a cast iron structure, linear guiding systems together with passive and active damping technology.
SA machines are available in a wide range of configurations. including a fixed table, rotary milling or milling/turning table of Ø 1000 mm (39”) on one side of the table, or two milling or milling/turning tables at either end of the machine. While at IMTS Select Machining Technologies demonstrated a 4-meter machine, 5-meter and 6-meter configurations are also available.
